Easter in Apex 2027: egg hunts, brunch and services

Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027. The Town of Apex runs a week of free and registered egg hunts before Easter each year, for families, teens, children with disabilities and dogs. As of Oct. 11, 2026, the 2027 dates were not out, so here is how the 2026 hunts ran; we will update this page when the town posts the new schedule. The town’s 2026 egg hunts

All are town-organized, from the egg hunts page. Dates are from 2026; 2027 dates are not out yet.

Bunny Trail Egg Hunt. In 2026 families picked one of four start times, 9, 9:45, 10:30 or 11:15 a.m., with room for 20 families per slot; only one adult per family registers. Staff release families one at a time onto a roughly quarter-mile unpaved trail that can be muddy. Follow the signs to park and check in. Pets stay home. If bad weather is expected, the town announces any cancellation the day before.

Teen flashlight hunt. Arrive at 8 p.m.; the hunt starts precisely at 8:15 p.m. on the disc golf course. Bring a flashlight, dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the large shelter.

Hunts for individuals with disabilities. The afternoon hunt hides eggs, including a couple of golden eggs, around the Nature Park Amphitheater. The flashlight hunt starts at 8 p.m.

UltiMutt Dog Egg Hunt. Dogs hunt treat-filled eggs with their owners and can have a photo with the Easter Bunny. Dogs stay on a leash. It is open to holders of a town dog park pass, and the town’s Paws and Rec page lists it again for March 2027.

• Good Friday: a town holiday on the 2026 town calendar, with trash and recycling on the normal schedule that day. Good Friday 2027 is March 26.
