An index of Apex and Wake County public notices: Oct. 12 and 13 hearings on rezonings and annexations, where legal ads are published, and how to search them.

Last checked Oct. 11, 2026. This page is an index, not the official publication of any notice. Peak City News is not a newspaper of record for legal advertising. Always read the notice itself at the official link.

Public notices tell residents about hearings, rezonings, annexations, budgets, bids, foreclosure sales and estates before decisions are made. In Apex they come from the town, Wake County, the school district and the courts, and they are published in several places.

Where official notices appear

  • Town of Apex Legal Ads (Public Hearings) lists every upcoming Planning Board, Town Council, Board of Adjustment and Parks and Recreation Advisory Board hearing, with the notice for each.
  • NCNotices.com collects notices published in North Carolina newspapers. The Press Association says that in North Carolina, public notices must be published in a newspaper of paid general circulation in the county where the government unit or court is located. The site keeps 12 months of notices, with an archive search for older ones.
  • Wake County tax foreclosures are listed on the county’s foreclosures page. Sales are advertised in The News & Observer and posted inside the Salisbury Street entrance of the Wake County Courthouse 20 days before the auction, which the Sheriff’s Office conducts.
