Apex’s public schools are run by the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), from its central office at 5625 Dillard Drive in Cary. Customer Service is 919-431-7400 and Student Assignment, which handles school zones, is 919-431-7333. WCPSS assigns every address a base elementary, middle and high school, and zones do not follow town limits or mailing addresses: several schools with Apex addresses sit inside Cary or Holly Springs town limits, and some north Apex homes are zoned for high schools in Cary.
