Middle Creek is southeast Apex. It shares its name with the creek and with the town’s Middle Creek Greenway toward Holly Springs. The town’s 2045 Land Use Map update splits it into two focus areas. Middle Creek North is “generally bounded by E. Williams Street (NC 55), US 1, Ten Ten Road, and Jessie Drive,” with “mostly commercial and industrial uses as well as Lufkin Road Middle School and Knight’s Play Golf Center.” Middle Creek South runs from there toward Smith, Stephenson and Sunset Lake roads, with “different types of residential developments with a range of densities,” a construction debris landfill and businesses. The area is in ZIP code 27539.

Where it is

East Williams Street (NC 55), Ten Ten Road and Jessie Drive are the main roads, with US 1 and the NC 55 Bypass nearby. The 2045 plan designates Knight’s Play as park land and plans offices along the north side of Jessie Drive with higher density homes. It noted in 2019 that “a high school is slated for the area” and that Jessie Drive’s extension and new collector streets would improve connections. Cary and Holly Springs both border the area, so a few blocks can change towns.
