13 Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants inside Apex town limits, on Salem Street, East and West Williams Street, Beaver Creek, Pine Plaza and Sweetwater.

Last checked Oct. 12, 2026. Refreshed every three months.

Apex’s Mexican restaurants spread along the town’s main road. East Williams Street has three restaurants, downtown has La Rancherita on Salem Street, and the chain burrito counters sit at Beaver Creek Commons, Haddon Hall Commons on West Williams Street and Pine Plaza. Newer places are at Sweetwater on Richardson Road and on Green Level West Road.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Apex’s town limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 12, 2026. Where a place has no website we could find, it is listed because Wake County’s restaurant inspection data shows a permit at that Apex address; that is how we added La Taberna, Mi Cancun, Mezcalito, Tacos Mexico and Cocina Mexicana La Peña de Horeb. We left out map entries we could not confirm, among them Aranda’s on Apex Peakway (its site no longer loads and the county lists another restaurant at that address), Ciudad Mexico on U.S. 64 and Chili’s on Beaver Creek Commons Drive, neither of which appears in the county’s current list. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or a recommendation, and nobody paid to be on it. Run one of these places? Write to us to correct your entry.
